Your via ferrata in the Cévennes

A landscape not to be missed

It is on the heights of Florac, capital of the Cévennes National Park in Lozère, that the Rochefort via ferrata is located.

After entering through a narrow passage called "the canyon", a greenish landscape will be drawn at the exit: a panorama to believe your eyes. The Florac valley will appear as well as the rest of the route.

In order to overcome the obstacles, you take the various via ferrata workshops such as footbridges, monkey bridges, Nepalese bridges and zip lines. You will therefore have the opportunity to discover the wide range of techniques that this activity requires.

An outing not to be missed!

Not recommended if you are prone to vertigo, this via ferrata offers several routes including aerial passages.

How to get to Florac via ferrata?

Recommended routes

Go to the Place de l'Esplanade de Florac where our Alteo guide will meet you at the time agreed upon when you book.

- From Florac: Take the D18 to the Col de Pierre Plate and stop in the parking lot on the right. (3min)

- From Sainte Enimie: Head south on Route de Mende / D986 towards D907BIS. Take a left onto Rue du Front du Tarn / D907BIS (signs to D907 B / Ispagnac / Florac / Prades). Slight right onto N106 (signs for N 106 / Alès / Florac). Turn right on D907 (signs to Florac S / Barre des Cévennes / Meyrueis / St Jean du Gard). At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Avenue des Cévennes / D907. Take a left on Florac. (40min)

- From Mende: Head north on Impasse de l'Ayrette towards N88. Take N88, D986, D31, D907BIS…, then D907 towards Florac à Florac. Take a left on Florac. (40min)

- From Marvejols: Head northwest towards Avenue Savorgnan de Brazza / D809. Take D808, N88, D31, D907BIS and N106 towards Florac à Florac. Take a left on Florac. (1h)

The right equipment for the Florac via ferrata

To do this, you will need:

1. Bring a good pair of shoes, such as basketball, that hold on to your feet, as well as a comfortable outfit and a cap.

2. Provide a small backpack with a small bottle of water and a snack (cereal bar type).

3. Remember to book your activity niche: online or at 07.67.94.70.75.

For our part, we take care of providing you with a helmet, a harness, carabiners and a pair of lanyards. (Our state certified instructor will equip you at the meeting point)
