Via Ferrata du Thaurac

The ultimate discovery route

Your via ferrata near Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois

Sometimes underground, sometimes in the air, this via ferrata is an essential activity to discover the mysteries of the Gorges of the Hérault valley!

Zip line, limestone chimneys, monkey bridge, Tibetan bridges, climbing, abseiling, the via ferrata will have no more secrets for you. *

More varied and longer than the others via ferrata herault, this atypical route offers various half-day or full-day options.

Access / environment

Located on the Thaurac massif, at the gates of the village of Saint-Bauzille de Putois, near the Demoiselles caves, the Thaurac via-ferrata overlooks part of the Hérault Gorges. This limestone massif has been shaped over the years offering its via ferrata a sinuous and atypical path.
From the caves parking lot, a 10-minute walk on the cliff side will take you to the start of the route.

Unlike the Saint-Sériès via ferrata, the Thaurac via ferrata takes place in several geographic areas. It is therefore strongly recommended to explore it accompanied by an experienced guide if you really want to go around it. In addition, certain parts are prohibited by prefectural decrees and are no longer accessible.

Workshops

The Thaurac via ferrata is one of the most beautiful via ferrata in the region.

Indeed, it combines a sublime and very airy setting with a multitude of activities.
